About this opportunity
This scholarship was established in 2022 to support students commencing or currently enrolled in a Master of Social Justice at the University of Sydney. The scholarship provides financial assistance to students in their first year of the Master of Social Justice program within the School of Social and Political Sciences. The scholarship is awarded based on a personal statement demonstrating commitment to social justice principles, how the scholarship will support their degree, and any disadvantages or hardships experienced. Preference is given to applicants who can demonstrate disadvantage based on factors such as identifying as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, low socio-economic status, carer responsibilities, long-term medical conditions or disabilities, sole-parent responsibilities, regional or remote disadvantage, identifying as LGBTIQ+, or being first in family to attend university. Recipients must maintain satisfactory academic performance with a minimum Semester Average Mark of 50 each semester to continue receiving the scholarship.
