About this opportunity
The Masters of Space Science and Practice Scholarship is offered by Victoria University of Wellington to mark the launch of their new postgraduate qualification in 2026. This scholarship supports students enrolled in the inaugural cohort of the Masters of Space Science and Practice degree program. The scholarship provides financial assistance to students pursuing advanced studies in space science and is awarded primarily on academic merit, though applicants may also include a personal statement addressing financial hardship. Up to four scholarships are available for the 2026 academic year, each valued at $2,500 NZD. The scholarship is paid as a one-off payment directly to the student and can be held in conjunction with other awards. Recipients are expected to serve as ambassadors for the university and participate in appropriate events or marketing activities when requested.
