Materials Award

The Materials Award is a financial support program for undergraduate students at Falmouth University to help cover course material costs. The award provides between £100 and £400 per year depending on the course banding, with creative and design-intensive courses receiving higher amounts. This award is specifically designed to support students from lower-income households, requiring an assessed household income of under £25,000. The award was available for students who started their courses prior to 2020, including 2017, 2018, and 2019 entrants. Awards are granted automatically for each full year of study at the beginning of Study Block 2, with no separate application required. Students must be UK or EU home fee status undergraduates and cannot be online distance learners or studying at partner institutions. The award amounts vary by course type, reflecting the different material costs associated with various creative disciplines.
