Mathema Foundation Mathematics Scholarship

The Mathema Foundation Mathematics Scholarship supports students commencing a Bachelor of Education (Secondary) program with a Major, Minor or Extended Minor in Mathematical Sciences or Mathematical Studies for the standard duration of their program (up to a maximum of 4 years). One new scholarship is funded each year with a total of $20,000 paid to each recipient over four years of study. Scholarships are paid in instalments of $2,500 per study period, with payments made after census date in each study period for up to four years. The scholarship is designed to support future mathematics teachers at the secondary education level, with preference given to Moreton City residents enrolled as a Major in Mathematical Sciences or Mathematical Studies. This scholarship is offered on a yearly basis through funds provided by an external donor, and if funding is not available in any given year, the scholarship will not be awarded.
