About this opportunity
The Mathematics International Student Entrance Scholarship is awarded annually to outstanding international students entering Year One in the Faculty of Mathematics at the University of Waterloo. Several scholarships, each valued at $5,000, are available to recognize academic excellence and performance in mathematics contests. Students must write one of the Math contests administered through CEMC (Centre for Education in Mathematics and Computing) to be considered for this entrance award. The scholarship is specifically designed for students who are studying on an International Student VISA, providing financial support to help attract talented international students to the Faculty of Mathematics. Selection is based on academic performance, the Admission Information Form (AIF), and contest results. No separate application is required beyond the standard admission process and participation in the CEMC math contests.
