The Matthew Curtis Roach Memorial Scholarship honors the legacy of Matthew Curtis Roach, a student at West Liberty-Salem High School who unexpectedly passed away during his senior year in 2022. Created by his family to remember Matt, this scholarship embodies his spirit of always being willing to be a blessing to someone who needs assistance. The scholarship is awarded to graduating high school seniors or graduates of West Liberty-Salem High School who demonstrate academic achievement with a minimum 3.0 GPA and plan to pursue higher education full-time at a college, university, career or technical school in the United States. The scholarship provides $2,000 to help support students in continuing their education and carrying forward Matt's legacy of kindness and helping others.
