About This Opportunity

The Matthew Schwartz Memorial Safety Scholarship is awarded to Red Deer Polytechnic apprentices who demonstrate excellence in safety training. Recipients are selected based on achieving the highest grades in two Red Deer Polytechnic safety modules, which are completed through BlackBoard assessments. To qualify, students must obtain a grade of 80% or higher on two safety assessments completed between September and May 31 annually. The scholarship recognizes apprentices who attended an apprenticeship program in the most recent academic year and have shown commitment to workplace safety education. Nine scholarships of $1,000 each are awarded annually through the Matthew Schwartz Memorial Endowment.
