About This Opportunity

The Mature Student Scholarship at Goldsmiths, University of London provides financial support for mature students beginning undergraduate study. This scholarship is designed to support students over the age of 25 who are embarking on their undergraduate degree programs. The scholarship provides £3,000 per year for each year of study on the undergraduate programme, helping to reduce financial barriers to higher education for mature learners. Up to 10 scholarships are available for students entering in 2025. Two awards are specifically reserved for applicants nominated by Open Book, a program that works to break down barriers to higher education by supporting people from diverse backgrounds, including ex-offenders and those who have struggled with addiction and mental health issues. The scholarship is awarded on a competitive basis. Applications are assessed by a panel consisting of representatives from Admissions, Widening Participation, and an academic department. The panel gives equal consideration to both the applicant's academic record and their answers to questions in the application form, recognizing that applicants have diverse skills, attributes, and experiences. Scholarship payments are made in three installments during terms 2 and 3 after completion of the first term.
