About this opportunity
The Mature Students Hardship Fund provides financial support to mature students at the University of Strathclyde who are experiencing financial hardship. The fund is designed to assist students aged 21 or over who started their course with appropriate funding arrangements but have fallen into hardship during their studies. Awards are made on a case-by-case basis to help students overcome short-term financial difficulties and continue their studies successfully. The fund provides one-off payments typically ranging from £500 to £1000 to help with equipment and study costs as well as living costs. Awards are available until the fund is exhausted each year. Students must have already applied for all statutory funding and, if eligible, the Discretionary Fund before applying to this hardship fund, or they must be recommended for support by the Student Support Team based on urgent or exceptional circumstances.
