About this opportunity
The Max Chapple Memorial Scholarship was established in memory of Max Honomai Chapple, who in 1995 completed a Bachelor of Arts with a major in history at Massey University. This scholarship is designed for candidates who want to or are studying and undertaking research in history at postgraduate level, with a preference for research in New Zealand or Pacific Islands history.
Recipients must have recently completed their bachelor's degree and undertake a research project worth at least 60 credits. The scholarship has a duration of one year and the award amount varies. Selection considers academic achievements, financial need, and other scholarships or bursaries held by applicants.
The scholarship may not be granted each and every year. Applicants are required to submit a CV, a personal statement outlining financial need and how the award would assist their study, and a brief research outline as part of their application.
