About This Opportunity

The McCullough Robertson Indigenous Scholarship is part of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Scholarship Scheme at the University of Queensland. Established in 2014 and maintained by the income of an endowment fund supported by donations from the McCullough Robertson Foundation Ltd, this scholarship supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students who can demonstrate financial hardship and are enrolled in coursework programs related to the practice of law and the legal industry. The scholarship provides financial assistance of at least $3,000 to support students pursuing undergraduate, honours, or postgraduate coursework programs in law. Students only need to submit one application to be considered for all scholarships in the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Scholarship scheme. The scholarship is awarded based on demonstrated financial hardship, personal qualities including leadership potential, academic ability, and other factors relevant to the applicant's future academic success. This scholarship is available to both future and current UQ students who are Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander persons and can demonstrate financial need. The scholarship duration is one year, with the number of awards varying each year.
