McDaniel Pitts New Salem Missionary Baptist Church Scholarship

The McDaniel Pitts New Salem Missionary Baptist Church Scholarship was established in January 1999 under the direction of the Department of Life Development for the New Salem Missionary Baptist Church at the request of Dr. Keith A. Troy, Pastor. The scholarship program emphasizes, encourages, and supports the retention and graduation of students pursuing higher education. This opportunity is designed specifically for active members of the New Salem Missionary Baptist Church community who are committed to continuing their post-secondary education. The scholarship supports students who have already completed at least one year of college and demonstrate academic excellence with a minimum 3.25 GPA. Awards are granted to students attending post-secondary institutions in the United States, with the goal of helping church members achieve their educational and career aspirations.
