McGarvey Memorial Award in Law

The McGarvey Memorial Award in Law is awarded annually to a student with satisfactory academic standing entering the first year of the JD degree program who has had to overcome life challenges in order to attend law school which resulted in delays in the pursuit of their legal education. Recipient will be selected on the basis of academic standing and the extent to which their life experiences would benefit them in their future career in Law. This endowed award was established by friends and classmates of McGarvey to support students who demonstrate resilience and bring diverse life experiences to the legal profession.
