About this opportunity
The McGill Bermuda Scholarship Trust provides scholarships to students in Bermuda to study at McGill University in a degree program. The Trust offers the Dudley & Deborah Butterfield Scholarship and the McGill Bermuda Scholarship in alternate years. The Dudley & Deborah Butterfield Scholarship was established in Bermuda in 1988 as a result of a generous donation from Mr Dudley and Mrs Deborah Butterfield, together with the collective contributions of McGill graduates in Bermuda. The first scholarship was awarded in 1991.
The Trustees seek a scholar of all-round ability who is likely to make a balanced contribution to the community in the future. Applicants must first apply to McGill University for admission to a faculty or program of their choice before applying for the scholarship. McGill University has a long tradition and association with Bermuda and Bermudians, and the Trustees encourage all suitably qualified students in Bermuda to consider McGill University for degree programs.
