About This Opportunity

The Medal for Distinction in Engineering Education recognizes an engineer who has demonstrated exemplary contributions to the education and development of engineering students at a Canadian higher education institution. This prestigious award evaluates nominees based on their impact of teaching effectiveness, leadership and service to students, contributions to engineering education, and service to the profession. Recipients are honored during the annual Engineers Canada Awards Gala held in late May in conjunction with Engineers Canada's Spring Meetings and Annual Meeting of Members. Award recipients are admitted as a Fellow of Engineers Canada (FEC) and participate in promotional activities arranged by Engineers Canada. The award recognizes full-time or part-time faculty members at Canadian higher education institutions with teaching responsibilities in CEAB-accredited engineering programs who have demonstrated excellence in teaching strategies, student development, curriculum design, and professional service.
