About this opportunity

The ACS Division of Medicinal Chemistry offers annual Predoctoral Fellowship awards to support outstanding graduate students conducting medicinal chemistry research. In 2026, four fellowships of $20,000 each will be awarded, including two sponsored by Genentech. These fellowships are designed for predoctoral students in their third, fourth, or fifth year of graduate study who are engaged in medicinal chemistry research in relevant departments including Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Chemistry. The fellowship funds are to be used solely for stipend support for the awardee. Fellows are expected to give an oral presentation of their work at the Spring National ACS meeting in the year following the initial award and will receive up to a $2,000 travel grant from the Division for this purpose. Recipients may not be concurrently supported by another fellowship, and mentors for all applicants must be members in good standing of the Division of Medicinal Chemistry.
