Medical Student Fellowship Program

Established in 2010, the Medical Student Fellowship Program provides outstanding medical students the opportunity to pursue urology research through a mentored research fellowship with world-class urologic scientists. Fellows receive $4,000 stipends to support them during a mentored research experience. Applicants can propose a research project of up to 12 months, to take place during the award period of July 1, 2026 – June 30, 2027. Proposals must detail when project effort will be high (80-100%) and consecutive and justify instances where project effort is moderate and incremental. The program is sponsored by Arkansas Urologic Society, AUA New York Section, Carl A. Olsson MD Research Endowment Fund, Herbert Brendler MD Research Fund, and Nathirmal N. Lalchandani MD Research Fund.
