About this opportunity
This scholarship is specifically designed for Indigenous Australian students who are enrolled or intending to enrol in the Faculty of Medicine Nursing and Health Sciences at Monash University. The scholarship covers the cost of one year's accommodation at Monash Residential Services, with a maximum value of $10,000 based on a standard room in Residential Village (food expenses not included). The scholarship is open to both commencing and continuing undergraduate students, with preference given to commencing students and those with low income. Recipients must apply directly to Monash Residential Services for on-campus accommodation and provide appropriate documentation confirming their Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage to the William Cooper Institute. In addition to accommodation support, scholarship recipients will participate in the Faculty Indigenous Vertical Peer Program, which provides additional support and community connection throughout their studies.
