Mellemstrand Family Bar None Entrance Award

The Mellemstrand Family Bar None Entrance Award is awarded to students with satisfactory academic standing entering the first year of a Bachelor of Science in the Faculty of Agricultural, Life and Environmental Sciences at the University of Alberta. Selection is based on leadership qualities demonstrated by involvement in extracurricular and community activities, as well as academic standing. This award was endowed by proud University of Alberta alumni, Lora Mellemstrand (Bachelor of Science in Home Economics 1961) and Leighton Mellemstrand (Bachelor of Agriculture 1962), in honor of the Faculty of Agricultural, Life and Environmental Sciences Centennial. Recipients may receive only one Bar None Award or Scholarship in any given academic year.
