Mellon Internship Stipend

The Mellon Internship Stipend provides funding to students engaged in approved internships within the Women's & Gender Studies (WGS) program at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. This stipend is funded by the Mellon Foundation and supports experiential learning opportunities that align with Women's & Gender Studies curriculum. Students must be juniors or seniors in good academic standing with a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. While preference is given to WGS majors and minors, students from any major are eligible for consideration if their internship aligns with a WGS curricular topic area. The award amount varies based on the internship and funding availability.
