Melody Benton Spruell "I AM a Nurse" Scholarship

The Melody Benton Spruell "I AM a Nurse" Scholarship supports nursing students at Tarrant County College who are pursuing an Associate of Applied Science degree in Nursing. This scholarship is specifically designed to help parents with dependent children, with preference given to single parents and those intending to pursue careers in women's health. The scholarship recognizes the financial and academic challenges faced by nursing students who are also parents. Recipients must demonstrate strong academic performance with a minimum 3.0 GPA, though a 3.25 GPA or higher is preferred as it demonstrates superior aptitude in the nursing program. The scholarship is renewable for up to four consecutive semesters, including summer sessions, providing sustained support throughout the nursing program.
