About this opportunity

The Melonye Shurtz Memorial Scholarship was established to honor Melonye Shurtz, who passed away from cancer in 2003 and made a huge difference in the lives of her children and their friends. Her family created this scholarship for students of Eastmont High School to preserve her memory and continue her positive influence on students in the valley. This scholarship honors students who demonstrate service, high ethical standards, and good academics. It is specifically designed to support graduating seniors who plan to pursue a service-oriented profession or career. The scholarship recognizes students who show outstanding commitment to serving their family, school, church, or community. Applicants must be graduating seniors of Eastmont High School with a minimum 3.0 GPA who demonstrate exceptional service and ethical standards. The application period opens on January 1st with a deadline of March 1st each year.
