About this opportunity
MEM:s resestipendium is an annual travel scholarship awarded to a talented drawing student or architect in the early stages of their career (maximum 2 years after graduation). The scholarship fund was established in 1973 by the Swedish Architects' National Association to honor the memory of architect and illustrator Mats Erik Molander, who served as the organization's chairman from 1966-68. The scholarship is awarded to individuals who have demonstrated their ability to depict through drawing an experienced or imagined reality or to document a thought process. The scholarship amount is 20,000 Swedish kronor and must be used for an upcoming trip. Recipients are required to submit a report consisting of at least three original hand-drawn illustrations and a short travel narrative to the fund board within one year. The recipient is selected by the fund's board, which consists of three representatives from Sveriges Arkitekter and two from Svenska Tecknare.
