The Menadora MacDonald Master in Education Scholarship is granted to a full-time student entering the Master of Education program at the University of Prince Edward Island who has demonstrated excellence in teaching, is normally resident in Prince Edward Island, and is in financial need. Preference is given to students who completed their primary education in Prince Edward Island. This scholarship honors Menadora MacDonald, a valued teacher in the PEI education system who taught elementary students for over 30 years and served as Principal at West Royalty Elementary School for 18 years. The award was established by her daughter Dr. Donna Murnaghan on behalf of her family in celebration of Menadora's 93rd birthday, recognizing her as a strong advocate for the importance of education and continued learning.
