Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Scholarship

The Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Scholarship is specifically designed to support students from underrepresented backgrounds in higher education and engineering who are pursuing undergraduate studies in aeronautical engineering at Imperial College London. The scholarship covers full tuition fees and provides a living allowance for four years of study. This opportunity is aimed at students who demonstrate strong academic ability and a passion for engineering, innovation, and problem-solving, while also valuing resilience, leadership potential, and commitment to making a positive impact in the field of engineering or society more broadly. The scholarship is available for the MEng Aeronautical Engineering course and is designed to create an inclusive and supportive environment for students from diverse backgrounds. Eligible backgrounds include ethnic minority groups, students from low-income households, first-generation university students, those who have experienced educational disadvantage, care leavers, students with disabilities, and those from underrepresented regions. The scholarship covers four academic years taught full-time at Imperial, supporting both standard degrees and five-year degrees with year abroad or industry placements (though only four academic years at Imperial are funded). Applicants must first apply through UCAS for the H401 MEng Aeronautical Engineering course and receive an offer before being invited to apply for the scholarship. The selection process considers both academic excellence and the broader qualities that candidates bring to the field of aeronautical engineering.
