Merchant Taylors' Foundation Small Grants Scheme

The Merchant Taylors' Foundation Small Grants Scheme provides funding to community-based charities operating exclusively in the London Boroughs of Hackney, Lewisham, Southwark, and Tower Hamlets. The scheme supports organisations working with people in need due to age, ill health, disability, financial hardship, or other forms of disadvantage. The Foundation awards grants for unrestricted use or project funding, with unrestricted funding allowing organizations flexibility to use grants for training, governance, running costs, technology, or other needs aligned with their charitable objectives. Last year, the Foundation awarded small grants to 24 organisations, representing 48% of all applicants. The Foundation particularly encourages applications from organisations supporting aging or older people (those of retirement age and above), though applications from charities supporting other vulnerable groups are also welcome.
