The Meridian Urban Regional and Town Planning Scholarship for Indigenous Students is part of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Scholarship Scheme at The University of Queensland. Established in 2024 and maintained by an annual gift from Meridian Urban, industry leaders in urban policy & planning, and resilience & adaptation, this scholarship supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students pursuing undergraduate studies in Architecture, design and urban planning. The scholarship provides financial support of $10,000 per year for up to 4 years to eligible students who demonstrate financial need, academic ability, and personal qualities including leadership potential. This scholarship aims to increase educational opportunities and reduce financial barriers for Indigenous students interested in the urban planning and design fields.
