About This Opportunity

The Meritorious Service Award for Community Service recognizes the community-based, volunteer commitment of engineers to improve their communities. The award honors engineers who have demonstrated active and impactful participation in the community through volunteerism in non-engineering roles, including volunteer roles with non-profit and charitable organizations, participation in voluntary commissions, boards, or task forces, government administration, or other contributions that benefit their community. Recipients must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents registered in good standing with one of Canada's engineering regulators. The award also considers work-related achievements and service to the engineering profession. Recipients are presented with their award during the annual Engineers Canada Awards Gala and are admitted as Fellows of Engineers Canada (FEC).
