Meta Steinfort Scholarship

The Meta Steinfort Scholarship is given to one or more students who are majoring in Spanish or double majoring in Spanish and Education. Preference will be given to students who have intentions of using their education to teach Spanish in some capacity. Qualified students will also hold a minimum GPA of 3.0 in coursework for the Spanish major, have junior or senior standing by the start of the Fall semester when funds are disbursed, and have completed at least one upper-level Spanish class at UWM at the time of application. Applications are accepted in the Spring semester, with the due date to apply being February 1. Funds are disbursed to awardees the following Fall semester. The award amount is up to $1,000 and is provided by the Estate of Meta Steinfort through the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
