About this opportunity
The Metis Scholar Undergraduate Award is offered annually to continuing undergraduate students in any faculty at the University of Calgary. The award is designed to support Metis students who can provide proof of citizenship from Otipemisiwak Metis Government (Metis Nation of Alberta). This award recognizes academic merit among Alberta resident students pursuing undergraduate studies. Recipients are selected based on their academic achievements and their involvement in the Metis community. Applicants must submit a short essay outlining their reasons for their chosen field of study, explaining how a Metis Scholar Award will impact their journey towards education and career objectives, and describing their involvement in the Metis Community.
