About this opportunity
The Michael Baker International Iraq Survivors Scholarship fund was created at The Pittsburgh Foundation to provide scholarships for children and spouses of U.S. service men and women who are currently in active service or have previously served in any U.S. war dating back to the U.S.-Iraq war declared in March of 2003. This scholarship supports high school graduates and current seniors who reside in specific Pennsylvania counties and plan to pursue higher education at vocational, technical, or college institutions. Recipients must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 and demonstrate connection to military service through a parent or spouse who served in conflicts from March 2003 onwards. The award is offered as a single-year scholarship, though previous recipients are encouraged to reapply in consecutive years.
