Michael Petrick Journalism Scholarship

The Michael Petrick Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship funded by the generous gifts of Michael Petrick. This scholarship is specifically designed to support students pursuing journalism careers in news or editorial commentary. The award is intended for declared Journalism, Advertising and Media Studies (JAMS) majors who are on the journalism track and demonstrate a strong commitment to a career in journalism. Eligible students must be enrolled full-time at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. The scholarship recognizes and supports students who show promise in the field of journalism and editorial work. Second degree students are not eligible for this award. The scholarship amount varies and can be up to $3,000, providing meaningful financial support to help journalism students pursue their educational goals and prepare for careers in news media and editorial commentary.
