Michael Swan Memorial Scholarship

The Michael Swan Memorial Scholarship is awarded annually to a student entering the fourth year (consideration may be given to a student continuing in or completing fourth year) of the BSc Forestry Program in the Faculty of Agricultural, Life and Environmental Sciences at the University of Alberta. The scholarship recognizes superior academic achievement, interest in forest hydrology and watershed management, and support of the forestry profession. This is an annual award provided when a suitable candidate is identified. The scholarship is funded through an endowment established by the Swan family, fellow foresters, and friends of Michael Swan to honor his memory and support students pursuing forestry education with a focus on hydrology and watershed management.
