Michael T. Abel Scholarship Fund

The Michael T. Abel Scholarship Fund was created at The Pittsburgh Foundation in memory of Michael, to assist Free Church students who are entering an undergraduate program at either Grove City or Geneva College. The scholarship supports graduating high school seniors or current undergraduate students who demonstrate financial need, have employment experience, and are active members of their local church. Preference is given to students affiliated with an Allegheny District Free Church. Recipients must maintain minimum GPAs of 2.8 for incoming freshmen/rising sophomores or 3.0 for rising juniors and seniors. This single-year award encourages previous recipients to re-apply in consecutive years.
