Michele Cunneen Scholarship Fund

The Michele Cunneen Scholarship Fund provides scholarship support to rising juniors enrolled in the Veterinary Technology Department (or its successor) at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Recipients must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.25 and demonstrate a commitment to their major and pursuit of a broad interest in the field, as demonstrated by additional coursework or volunteer or paid experiences in veterinary, lab animal science, and other areas of animal care and use. Special consideration is given to students pursuing a career in lab animal medicine. The scholarship aims to support students who show dedication to advancing their knowledge and experience in veterinary technology and related fields. Annual awards are intended to be a minimum of $2,000, though the actual amount varies depending on the annual distribution from the Fund. Students are automatically considered for this opportunity based on their completed General Application through the UMass Amherst scholarship platform.
