About this opportunity
The Michele Nobuko Aoki Secondary Education Memorial Award is awarded annually to a senior undergraduate student in the Secondary Route of the Bachelor of Education or Teacher Certification Program majoring in Biology. The award recognizes students who demonstrate outstanding potential to contribute to the improvement of biology teaching in secondary schools. Selection is based on a combination of good scholarship and promise of excellence in teaching shown in professionally related activities such as the integrated curriculum and instruction courses in biology education. The award is open to full-time or part-time students as well as convocating students. This endowed award was established by Dr. and Mrs. T. Aoki and their sons, Douglas and Edward, to honor Michele Nobuko Aoki's memory and support future biology educators.
