About This Opportunity

One or more scholarships, valued at up to $3,000 each, will be awarded to outstanding students who identify as women entering first year of Computer Science, Computer, Electrical, Management, Mechanical, Mechatronics or Software Engineering at the University of Waterloo. This fund was established in 2006 by women alumni who work at Microsoft Corporation to encourage and assist women students who are interested in the pursuit of an education and career in a technological field and who are committed to achieving the very highest standards of excellence. The scholarship recognizes academic performance and is awarded based on the Admission Information Form (AIF), contest results administered through CEMC (for Math students only), and online video interview (for Engineering students only).
