About this opportunity

The Middle Georgia Higher Education Scholarship Fund is a collaboration among an array of community partners to provide educational scholarships to graduate students in Middle Georgia. These renewable annual awards defray the cost of higher education for students pursuing a master's degree. The scholarship provides $1,700 per year and is specifically designed to support first-generation college students who demonstrate financial need. Recipients can renew the award for up to four years, provided they maintain eligibility criteria and complete required follow-ups. Preference is given to students with the greatest demonstrated financial need and first-generation college students, defined as students with neither parent having received a four-year college degree. Applicants must have graduated from a public or private high school or been homeschooled in one of seven Middle Georgia counties: Bibb, Crawford, Houston, Jones, Monroe, Peach, or Twiggs County.
