About This Opportunity

The Mildred Rowe Weston Memorial Scholarship was established by the estate of the late Mildred Rowe Weston and is funded through the Alberta Heritage Scholarship Fund. This scholarship recognizes high-achieving students who have completed distance learning courses through the Alberta Distance Learning Centre (ADLC) and are continuing their post-secondary education. Three scholarships of $1,000 each are awarded annually to the top three students based on their Grade 12 averages. Students are automatically considered for this award when they apply for the Alexander Rutherford Scholarship, requiring no separate application. Recipients must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents, Alberta residents, have completed at least three courses through ADLC, and be enrolled full-time at a designated post-secondary institution.
