Miljøprisen

Rogaland fylkeskommunes miljøpris (Environmental Prize) is awarded annually to companies, voluntary organizations, public bodies, institutions or individuals who have made a special effort for nature and the environment in Rogaland. The prize consists of a diploma and 50,000 Norwegian kroner. The prize is given for special efforts to protect nature and the environment in Rogaland, including but not limited to areas such as biodiversity, pollution, greenhouse gas reduction, nature restoration, nature communication and climate adaptation. Proposals are evaluated by the county director who presents a recommendation to the Culture and Business Committee. The environmental prize is presented at a county council meeting. If no candidates meet the criteria in a given year, the prize is not awarded.
