Miljöpriset

Miljöpriset is an annual environmental prize awarded by Östersund Municipality to individuals, companies, organizations, or other entities that have made significant contributions to sustainable development in the municipality. The prize recognizes efforts that protect and care for biodiversity and valuable natural and cultural environments, ensure good management of land, air, water and protect the physical environment, promote circular economy and improve management of materials, raw materials and energy, and increase knowledge, awareness and engagement on environmental and climate issues. Winners receive recognition for their innovative and inspiring environmental work that serves as a model for others in the community.
