Millennium Awards Trust

Millennium Awards Trust awards are open to any social entrepreneur aged 16+ tackling a range of social issues. They give you access to funding and expert support to enable you to start or grow your social venture. Awards are funded through an endowment by the Millennium Commission with a National Lottery Grant. The program offers two tiers of funding: Starting Up grants of up to £8,000 for those committed to creating social impact in a financially sustainable way who are at an early stage or have started to make a difference to people's lives, communities, or the planet. Scaling Up grants of up to £18,000 are available for founders of financially sustainable social ventures that are making a positive difference, who have evidence of their social impact and ambitions to build on it. The program provides tailored support including a dedicated support manager who offers one-to-one coaching throughout the award period, access to a regular calendar of workshops from expert facilitators, business mentoring from a large network of supportive professionals, and legal adviser consultancy on topics such as legal structure, intellectual property, leases and contracts.
