About this opportunity

The Mini Arts Grants program supports the resilience of the Western Bay sub-region's creative sector and increases vibrancy over the winter period by funding creative projects and activations with rapid turnaround mini grants. The fund is designed to support creative projects and activations that involve creativity or culture and engage the community. Applications are capped at $2,000 per project. The initiative must be a new activity with a defined start and finish time, taking place in either Tauranga city or Western Bay of Plenty district. Applicants can be individuals, organisations or informal groups that are not-for-profits, have a charitable purpose or provide a community benefit. The fund will not support the arts practice of individuals. Previous rounds have funded projects including Māori weaving workshops, theatre and musical direction workshops, mural installations, songwriting clinics, zine making workshops, and various community arts projects. These grants are made possible with the support of TECT and Creative Bay of Plenty.
