About this opportunity
Minor Field Studies (MFS) is a scholarship program funded by Sida that enables students to conduct field studies in low- or middle-income countries to collect material for their thesis or degree project. The program is aimed at students studying at undergraduate or advanced level (bachelor's, master's level). Students receive a travel scholarship of 35,000 SEK and the field study must last for at least 8 weeks (56 days on site in the field). The scholarship does not cover the entire cost of the trip but can be supplemented with CSN. The field studies must take place in one of Sida's designated cooperation countries where Sweden conducts development cooperation, and there must be an active strategy for development cooperation with the country. The program encourages students to link their field studies to ongoing research or international work at the University of Gothenburg.
