About This Opportunity

The Minor, Weir and Willis Scholarship is a competitive award open to all 2nd year BSc students at Harper Adams University who are interested in pursuing a career in fresh produce. Minor, Weir and Willis is one of the largest independent fresh produce businesses in the UK and Europe. The scholarship provides significant financial support along with a guaranteed placement year with the company. The successful recipient will receive a contribution of £4,500 towards their education in the year prior to placement, employment with Minor, Weir and Willis during their placement year including a week working in Spain, and the possibility of further funding in the final academic year subject to review at the end of placement. A condition of the scholarship is that recipients must undertake their placement year with Minor, Weir and Willis, and the placement must be suitable for their course area. The award is evaluated on the merit of the submitted application, academic achievements to date, and interview performance.
