Mississippi Boys State / Girls State Scholarship

The Mississippi Boys State / Girls State Scholarship is awarded to entering freshmen who have participated in Mississippi Boys State or Mississippi Girls State. This scholarship recognizes students who have demonstrated leadership and civic engagement through participation in these prestigious statewide programs. The scholarship provides a one-year award of $1,000 to Mississippi residents who meet the eligibility criteria. The award amount is disbursed equally over two semesters during the student's first year at Mississippi State University. To receive the scholarship, students must be entering first-time freshmen with a minimum 9th-11th grade GPA of 3.0 or higher and must submit both the General Scholarship Application and the Mississippi Boys State/Girls State Scholarship Application in the scholarship portal, including uploading a copy of their official Boys State/Girls State certificate to verify participation.
