Mitchell Gurick Student Trustee Scholarship

The Mitchell Gurick Student Trustee Scholarship is awarded to full-time undergraduate students at Eastern Illinois University with intent to enroll in the Lumpkin College of Business and Technology or College of Education. Preference is given to students majoring in Career and Technical Education. The scholarship requires a minimum GPA of 3.0 and seeks students who demonstrate strong leadership qualities both in and out of the classroom. Applicants must submit a letter of recommendation from a college professor, high school teacher/counselor, or former employer, along with a written statement describing their qualifications, leadership qualities, and extracurricular activities. Preference is given to active Student Government members. Financial need is not considered in the selection process. Recipients may reapply for the award in subsequent years if they continue to meet the stated criteria. The award is announced in the Spring Semester and paid in the Fall Semester.
