About this opportunity
The MLC School Teacher Education Scholarship provides a $9,000 award to support a Master of Teaching (Secondary) student undertaking an internship at the MLC school. This scholarship offers students a unique opportunity to work at a leading Independent School within the Greater Sydney area. Recipients must be enrolled full-time in the final year of 2025 within the School of Education and Social Work at the University of Sydney and must be conducting study in one or more of the following areas: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or English. The scholarship is tenable for up to nine months and is paid in two equal instalments after the census date of each semester. Recipients are required to take part in MLC School onboarding and induction process, spend one day a week (or equivalent) placement at the School for School Terms 1 and 2, undertake an unpaid internship at the School during School Term 3, receive guidance from a mentor teacher, and participate in academic, pastoral, and co-curricular activities.
