About this opportunity
This Scholarship is to support young Māori women studying at Wellington School of Business and Government. The Scholarship was established in 2024 and is funded by Melanie Smith. Melanie is Ngapuhi and lives in London working as a CEO. The main purpose of the Scholarship is to support young Māori women studying business at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington. The Scholarship will be awarded primarily on the basis of academic merit, and the applicant's written personal statement will also be taken into account. The Scholarship will be paid as a monthly stipend with payment commencing as soon as practical after confirmation of the awardee's enrolment. Payment and tenure will be pro-rated for part-time study. Awardees of the scholarship may apply again for a second or third year.
