Molecular Maverick Award

Established in 2024 and maintained by generous donations from the UQ alumni, business and scientific community, the Molecular Maverick Award celebrates individuals who break free from traditional boundaries, showcasing exceptional skills that position them as leaders and innovators in academia and industry. The award is designed to recognize postgraduate research students enrolled in disciplines with research links to chemistry and/or molecular biosciences who demonstrate the ability and potential to become leaders and innovators in science and industry. Recipients must participate in the SCMB pitching event and showcase their research focus, innovation, and potential for industry translation. The scholarship provides $5,000 AUD for one year to support one exceptional student who demonstrates creative thinking, entrepreneurial qualities, and leadership in molecular sciences.
